A few things you must know before getting your brows done. Microblading FYI.

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a technique in which pigment is embedded into the skin by scratching fine lines into the surface of the skin. These strokes of fine lines replicate hair as in brows. The results last from six to 24 months, depending on a variety of factors such as color of pigment, skin type, and your lifestyle.

HOW LONG DOES THE RESULTS LAST?

The results may last up to 24 months. Hair color, skin type, after-care, and lifestyle also affect longevity of the result. Occasional touch-ups also help to refresh the results. Done correctly, the treatment does not change color and fade naturally away with time.

IS IT PAINFUL?

Unlike traditional tattoos, microblading uses effective numbing creams that are FDA approved. So, they do not hurt like tattooing. At most, only a slight sensation might be felt depending on the sensitivity of the skin.

CAN YOU HAVE FACIAL BEFORE MICROBLADING?

It is advisable to avoid facials at least two weeks before your Microblading.

Intensive facials can make your skin thinner and more sensitive, resulting in more bleeding which can affect color retention when ink is scratched into the skin surface. And we also recommend to wait at least two weeks after your Microblading for facials, to allow the brow to fully heal and you’ll get better results.

Here are some tips to consider:

  1. Choose the right artist.

When it comes to microblading, choosing the best artist should be your primary objective. Though it’s not permanent, Microblading can have a few strokes that do not totally fade if done wrong, depending on how deep the artist goes. So it is extremely important to have someone who knows what they are doing.

Go with someone who has a lot of experience in and can deliver the best results, or you might risk ruining your brows.

  1. Follow safety procedures.

As long as fresh new blades and ink are used, Microblading is totally safe. We use the most sterile and best tools to make sure you’re 100% safe.

We also mix color for every client according to their skin and hair color and get their approval before we start the procedure.

  1. Choose your own brows.

Microblading is not just about getting new brows, it is about restoring your already existing brows and giving them a new look. So, instead of someone else making the decision for you, you pick and choose the right type of brow you want.

Here at Prestige Beauty&Brow, we discuss your best shape and size, and make sure its your perfect choice before we proceed.
